For the third time Di Gojim is asked to play at the Ollin Kan festival. Last years they went to Mexico City and Bogota (Colombia). In May of this year the four gentlemen, along with singer Romi Anauel, will play again in Mexico. At the moment, the discussions on more performances in Central and South America are in full swing.

Jaap Mulder back to Israel for TV documentary
This week Jaap Mulder has been back to Israel, where he had to record some last scenes for the television documentary The Road to Klezmer. The first episode of the serie, with Mendy Cahan, is broadcasted last Sunday at the Jewish broadcasting. The episode Israels is to see on Sunday, July 15.

Di Gojim in Furth (Germany) - sold out!
Di Gojim is playing tonight at the prestigious festival of Furth,Germany. The hall is sold out! This foreign action was part of the awards that the company won at the International Jewish Music Festival in Amsterdam (Autumn 2010). Especially for Furth Jaap Mulder sings the lyrics of Vladimir Vysotsky in German. In this way, Di Gojim wants to make the wonderful heritage of this "Russian Brel" more accesible to the German public.

Jaap Mulder presents television-documentary
Jaap Mulder is approached by the Joodse Omroep (Jewish Broadcasting), NTR and VRT (Belgium) to present a television documentary about 'the roots of klezmer'. The program also covers Jaap's own quest for the "why" of his fascination with this music. This spring, he travels with the production team to Israel, Eastern-Europe and the United States. The four-part documentary will be broadcasted in 2012, on Dutch and Flemish television.

Di Gojim will play at the funeral ceremony of Dutch writer Harry Mulisch
Saturday October 30 last, one of a major Dutch writers, Harry Mulisch died. At the request of the family Di Gojim will accompany the coffin during the funeral ceremony on Saturday, November 6. The funeral will be broadcast live via the NOS. At the request of the author Di Gojim played on his 65th birthday (1992). A ceremony, where the book "The Discovery of Heaven" was presented.

Best Arrangement International Jewish Music Festival 2010
Di Gojim won the Award for Best Arrangement to the International Jewish Music Festival 2010. Moreover, they received an exclusive invitation to the prestigious festival in Furth (Germany). The prizes were awarded Saturday 30 October. Di Gojim unfortunately didn't managed to get a final place, but these rewards represents a crowning glory. Especially for Jaap Mulder, who has written the arrangement for this contest. The performance consisted of a quarter, including a compulsory component.
AMSTERDAM - The top of the Jewish music strokes from Thursday 28 to Sunday, October 31 down in Amsterdam for the International Jewish Music Festival. (...) For the second time during the four day festival there's an international competition for Jewish music. This may include 24 ensembles from twelve countries to the conservatory in Amsterdam. Labour Party (PvdA) leader Job Cohen and MP Ronald Plasterk reach Saturday night the main public and prizes to the best performers of Jewish music. (Source ANP)
